The difference from DW to Stoudt is wide.

Sep 28, 2014, 8:35 PM

I believe Clemson loses against UNC if Stoudt is QB.

Which brings me to another conclusion, if DW started against UGA, Clemson wins going away and we win against FSU if DW starts cause he converts the TD on the opening drive.

DW wasnt hurt falling off his pedestal after the interception. ;)

The kid is impressive and should be a great player but people here need to get a grip. Expectations here for him are unrealisticly high right now

No expectations were wayyyyy too high for Stoudt at the beginning of the year after him showing nothing. Deshaun is actually proven, I'd say expectations are on par

I have seen nothing that convinces me those expectations are unrealistic, at all. He is very talented, and if surrounded by the right supporting staff, the sky may be the limit for him.

Kid is the best I have seen. Keeps his eyes down field and just knows how to put the ball where are guy catches it. Throwing it is no prob for him. Think you will improve his running from here on out.

I was not quick to convert to DW, I will admit. I used the logic that the coaches must see some flaw or weakness in practice that we were not privy to in games. I was wrong. DW is the total package, and with a little better protection and the help of a hint of a running game, he will be a world beater. Hopefully the run game and the OL does get better, and if that happens we all will be delighted in the results. I do believe we would have won, at least 1 more game to date.

what about all the other SRs that don't start or play

I think all should be allowed to play, it's only fair

Bull. Cole would have lit up that swiss cheese D

Now, I will say, with the offensive line playing like dog####, there were probably a few plays that DeShaun was able to make with his running/elusiveness that Cole couldn't. I still think we win the game with either QB. Their defense is an absolute dumpster fire.

Which is why Cole lit up that Swiss cheese defense when he played

You think Stoudt is breaking records?

I would say that with a good offensive line, Cole would be

an outstanding QB. I believe that Watson has such great pocket presence and awareness, and is so elusive and good on his feet, that he probably got positive yardage last night on at least 15 plays that would have resulted in a loss or no gain had Cole (or a lot of other good QBs) been in the game. The fact that Watson had a record setting performance while scrambling and under pressure is evidence of just how good he is.

Cole has thrown a TD this year right?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Agree. But as noted frequently on T-Net ...

Sep 28, 2014, 8:53 PM

We were not at the practices, and our coaches are highly paid specialists whose judgement should never be questioned unless you have a technical P.E. degree and watch game film.

All kidding aside, I agree. I was at the ballgame on Saturday watching from Section R Row A on the 25 yard line, and the insertion of Stoudt halted the Tiger's momentum and resulted in 3 and out and an immediate UNC drive and score. It was almost like our players were subconsciously taking off the series based on the coaches' decision not to step on UNC's throat. Football is all about momentum.

Clemson wins both going away with DW taking every snap this season. DW is heisman worthy and gonna kick tail for the next two and a half years at least. Just sit back and enjoy. No more losses due to qb play for a long time to come. Also good enough to cover other glaring weaknesses like oline and rb. Every bit as good as jw and Vince young. Coaching will be the only thing to hinder him so let's hope they don't go brain dead and decide to put in the backup for no d reason at all.
