border rivalry in the late 70's and through the 1980's. UNCheat had some good teams like the one we beat in '81 in Chapel Hole. They used to bring a pretty big crowd to Clemson. Back in the 80's if I was to rank our rivals they were:

1) UGA
2) USuC
3) Maryland (especially 77-86)
4) UNCheat (especially 77-86)

I moved out of the area and didnt have a vcr then. As I recall ESPN had a condensed replay on a weekday at 3:30 am of that game. The wife and I got up to watch even though we knew how it turned out. two of the best and most highly ranked acc teams ever.
