split the way Clemson fans would be split under similar circumstances. The older, longtime boosters are very loyal to Beamer (though most admit, the program's dropped off in the last few years)while the younger crowd, more reactionary and without the same emotional attachment want Beamer gone yesterday.

Oddly enough, 3 seasons ago when Clemson won the ACC and beat VaTech TWICE in the same year is when the grumblings started

VT is turning into the Penn St. dilemma of a few years ago strictly in the football sense of course when the grumblings were rampant but the administration couldn't tell him he was done.

If I was a VT fan, I wouldn't know how to answer that. I have immense respect for him. He put VT on the map.
