I love Dabo and my tigers to death, but the man is just full of it. LOL.
Trying to play off the fact that Winston's suspension is huge for us in this game.

LOL, "Full of it"

He said EXACTLY what any sane coach would say. He said we are going down there to play FSU, not just one player. That is not only true, but it is EXACTLY what any coach with any sense would say (and preach to his team).
I find it laughable anyone would use that comment as any knock on Dabo.

Lol. FSU is a totally different team offensively without Winston.
I mean, the guy did win a heisman trophy last year.
If you believe Dabo didn't get a boner when he heard the news about Winston you're an idiot.
I know I did.

I'm afraid it's bad for us in that it will rally and inspire the FSU team. We have to ignore all that and hit them in the mouth like BC did last year---had them on the ropes. I just don't think we are that kind of physical team. Our strength program is mediocre, and this shows up when we play really physical teams. I'll be happy if we can just keep it respectable. Another debacle and we are a joke on the national scene. And, their 2nd team QB has a rifle arm and is probably better than Cole Stoudt. Dabo just can't see buss saws coming.

what do you want him to say?
"hot ###, the witch is dead, which old witch, the wicked witch is dead. This gives us the best opportunity to win now. Before we had no chance. That kid IS the team. We have nothing else to worry about. We should have just skipped practice the last 2 days."

I would have said something along the lines of this:
"Anytime you lose your QB and leader of the team it's a blow, especially when that player is the heisman trophy winner. FSU is very deep and is still a great team without Winston and like they say, you're only as good as your backup."

To in anyway insinuate either in public or to your team that the game just got easier is a bad move.

The big thing is our offense. We have to score points early and consistently.

Why do some of you people not get "coach speak" most of the coaches words are to motivate his team or to show them he is confident in them. It is also to keep them from being overly confident. COMMON SENSE ; try it sometime
