All of our major goals still remain on the table. We came out for three quarters and executed well as a team and frankly, played better/more composed than I had anticipated. Clearly, the fourth quarter left much to be desired but I have full faith in our coaches and players to continue to improve and mesh together. We went in to a hostile environment with a ton of new players who had never started before and we didn't flinch until the later stages of the game as defensive and crowd pressure intensified.
Every loss stings, but I would much rather have put the team through this challenging experience and lose, than to tee-off on The Citadel and shun reality on week 1.
Go Tigers. Here's to what I believe will be a very fun and fulfilling 2014 season.
