How much longer will/should Danny Pearman have a job???

Sep 1, 2014, 10:46 PM

In my opinion he at least needs to be replaced as special teams coach. Our special teams has regressed in all aspects since he took over coaching them but especially kickoff returns and coverage and punt returns and coverage. He's also the worst recruiter on the team hands down.

I thought the punt team looked ok .

we haven't had a decent punt return game since he took over.
The only reason AH is back there is because the coaches trust him to catch the ball. WE have much more dangeruos runners who should be given a shot at returning punts.

I don't understand this...

Didn't AH drop to punts in the USC game alone?

I like AH, but he is a possession, need a three yard gain for a first down, type of receiver. Justin Miller was a punt returner, CJ Spiller was a punt returner.

"Excuse me? I don't go down to your work and tell you how to flip the burger!"

To be fair, I remember Bryant clotheslining Humphries

while trying to field a punt. To this day, that absolutely baffled me. I've never seen that before but that's the way we play against USuCk lately...

Don't mess up a good story with facts.***

The real question is why is Humphreys returning anything?

Sep 1, 2014, 10:50 PM

He fairly good at WR, but that's it.

if he's our starter, we're in trouble... he's a 3rd down WR

at best...

same goes for howard. I they're our best, it'll be a long season

He has good hands but he's too slow to return kicks/punts***

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

No.. He has GREAT HANDS! He just not built for 5,6,7 throws BLOS... the man is perfect at the quick dig, skinny post and intermediate outs (5-10 yds) ! Past that or these and his speed skills become a factor .. We gotta lil slogan in our seat area for Adam . We always say " all I do is catch footballs "... FIRST DOWN !!! Saturday night they went against his strengths .

BLOS= behind line of scrimmage

Behind the line throws depend on the other WR blocking for

Sep 2, 2014, 8:31 AM

him , that why those should go to the guys because Humphries is the best blocker on the team.

Should be a tight ends coach and that's it.

Worst recruiter on the staff.

Only punt/kick return we've had in recent memory is Sammy Watkins in 2011 against Maryland when he alone beat Maryland.

Punt coverage: OK.
Kick coverage: Well you saw Gurley go untouched until he was 3 yards deep in the endzone.
Kick return: OK.
Punt return: Subpar.
Definitely can be A LOT better in all aspects of SP.
