Great CFB player obviously, has a Heisman forever, made some mistakes in his life, but a genuinely nice guy and hard to not like big George, friendly as can be to everyone. He had a short but decent NFL career, works hard for charities and in spite of his digressions, he has recovered to be a good citizen. And he has nothing bad to say about anyone, never has. His Heisman was a major accomplishment, few people ever achieve such an honor in their lives. Some people ripping him will never accomplish anything nearly as meaningful.

It is an accomplishment, only one CFB a year gets that prestigious award, something to be proud of for the rest of your life. Few ever earn such a high honor in any walk of life.

Just like Sammy was shut out of SC's end zone for three years. Difference there, most Tigers forget that Rogers had 168 yards rushing in that 1980 game. Sammy never played well when facing SC's physical defense.
