Need some help from you veterans.

I've never been to a game in Athens. I'm about 5 hours away. How early should I plan to be there to avoid the heavy traffic? I plan to be there 3 hours early, but should I plan more?

I would leave home 8/10 hours before game time. And that would depend on if I wanted to walk around an visit with other Clemson fans. That would be 10 hours before game time, and 8 if you just want stop and get something to eat before you get into Athens. Don't eat in Athens unless its with other Tigers fans tailgating if offered. And your chances of being offered a meal at a Tiger tailgate is about a 95% chance you will be offered something to eat if its just you and a friend.
