ESPiN CFB Team Recruiting Rankings: TAMU > Clemson ???

This SEC lovefest they're trying to perpetuate has really become absurd. Using ESPiN's own player rankings (whether you agree with their up-and-down shifts or not), there is really no sound explanation for TAMU to have been moved ahead of Clemson as the #2 class for 2015.
As shown, CU totals 1634 with Jalen Williams w/no points tho considered a 3*. TAMU totals 1388 with 2 players w/no points that aren't even ranked. As that stands, CU averages @ 77.81/player; TAMU @ 73.05/player.
If you were to assign points to these unranked players (say 75 each);
CU 1709/21= 81.38 TAMU 1538/19=80.95
Tho TAMU has two 5*s to CU's one, CU has 17 4*s to TAMU's 12 and as to the ESPiN 300, CU has 12 to TAMU's 11. There's is no logical parameter to justify the ranking other than SEC bias...

With all major sports turning to ESPN back in the day, they have now signed on the dotted line to be linked at the hip forever.
Unless we all start getting our intel/kicks from other sports stations FS1, etc. we're going to be stuck to watching this crud. =/

fully trust the evaluations of our coaching staff and the development they've shown over the last few years, but I find it disingenuous for a sports media monopoly to parley their privileged few on false pretense. That said, Georgia is in for a rude awakening and the rest of the SEC will be put on notice....

While you may be correct, you still have to take recruiting rankings with a large dose of salt. They are fun to watch, and I certainly keep up with recruiting. But, there is no way they are dead accurate. The rankings could be off by as much as 10 positions or more. And they could be WAY off on the individual kids.
