It certainly looks the part. But CFB is arguably more random than any other sport. Honestly, who picked Duke or UCF last season? Or Mizzu? It's the nature of the beast and, perhaps, why we love it (Other than the fact that we're all blessed to be fans of Clemson at birth). 
But I find it funny how these pro SEC writers plug Miss St. I don't buy it. Nor do I buy PSU as a top 20 team cause of Franklin. I also don't buy a huge Fla rebound but they did get a great OC, IMO. I think Mizzu slips big without RB Josey, those DLs, WR D.G.B., and others. I also don't have Auburn in my top 8. Cause man did they have lady luck last season. Possible, but not likely to occur this year.
I'd take the real USC as a team on the rise. Maybe top ten. I'd take Kansas St. as a top 20 team. Why not? It seems random. I'd leave off ND, Ok St, Mizzu, and Baylor just to be random. I'd plug in UNC, Az St, Ole Miss, and Michigan. But all that still seems to main stream. Perhaps the chaos and calamity of CFB leads me to almost include VT, TTech, and Zona. Who knows. But we'll be watching... Go Tigers.
