Sad news for G. Tech recruit

Jul 29, 2014, 8:23 PM

Scotland High School quarterback Jaylend Ratliffe suffered a fractured skull in an ATV accident Tuesday and was flown by helicopter to Charlotte for further treatment.
A source close to Ratliffe's family said the Scotland standout, who has already committed to play for Georgia Tech next fall, is suffering from bleeding on the brain and will likely undergo surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Ratliffe and some other members of the Scotland football team were riding ATVs at an undetermined location in Laurinburg, the source said. Reportedly, the driver lost control of the vehicle he and Ratliffe were on and when the driver tried to correct, the ATV flipped and threw the riders off.

Hearing from his aunt that bleeding stopped and he woke on his own. And gave a thumbs up.

Maybe a good sign. I hate seeing anyone from any school get injured.

That is bad news indeed. I hate to hear that. A young man in his prime about to embark on a journey to college. Life is fragile so be sure to thank God for every minute of it.

Our country won't go on forever, if we stay soft as we are now. There won't be any America because some foreign soldiery will invade us and take our women and breed a hardier race.
