We need to beef up our OOC schedule.

Jul 29, 2014, 4:54 PM

I think if we had played a better OOC schedule last year we may have been more of a bubble team and possibly in the dance.

USuCk sure is hurting our SOS too!!

Needing to beef-up the OOC schedule....

Jul 29, 2014, 5:04 PM

was not the isse last year. The issue was losing to two lousy teams (i.e. Auburn and Wake Forest) and then getting jobbed by the officials in two critically important conference games.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

and beating 1 or 2 good teams OOC would've offset those

You know that "quality losses" aer inexplicably rewarded

as much, if not more, than bad wins.

We played one good team OOC last year and lost. That's a big part of what left us at home on Selection Sunday.

So, I guess the LJ construction begins after the season?***

Yep!!! Losing games we should win is on us. But losing b/c of grown up adult "professionals" rulings with clear bias intentions of popularity of one team over the other less popular team is nothing less than asinine in every sense of the word!!! Bias calls/non calls may not ever be taken out of games, but it can be deterred to an extent. If Refs were suspended for a game or games for clear video evidence that a referee made a very bad call or no call, make them pay a price. The teams that they screw over have to pay a price b/c of biases. Everybody in sports are held accountable for the jobs they do except the ones interrupting the in game rulings.

This is actually still an improvement over the OP days.

BB reached out and got AZ for a H/H and has been working in an extra major OOC or two with the SEC. We'll likely continue to see him bump it up as he can. It sucks that ESPN sticks us with a non-entity in the B1G. At least we're participating in it this year, unlike getting shut out in 2013.

Lot better that last years schedule

Jul 29, 2014, 7:57 PM

Arkansas and Auburn will both be improved a lot. Arkansas has a lot of starters back. Arkansas was close to being in NCAAs last year. Auburn will be much improved with Bruce Pearl taking over. They have a lot coming back and Pearl recruited well from the gate. They could be Dance team next year. Rober Morris and Oakland are good mid major programs and have been in Dance a number of times. Could had another decent nonconference game on road, but Coots will even be better this season. Not many teams lower than 200 in RPI from this past season or no one lower than 300. Couldn't say that last season...
