some of the others and finally gave Deon Cain the fifth star he deserves, we would probably cement the #2 spot even if some of the other big targets like Settle or Bailey pass us up.

But getting any outlets top rating isn't all it has cracked up to be. At best it just slows down some of the Clemson and ACC bashing.

Recruiting rankings didn't mean a whole lot until ESPN started covering them. Sometimes I am not sure if ESPN does the best rankings but they are always the service you want to be ranked the highest in. Just like the SEC hype machine, every year Clemson gets big hype by ESPN's recruiting services. The best publicity in the world is Dabo in front of an ESPN camera explaining how strong the future of the program is.

our coaches know what we need and how to get them signed. That's the way I felt when we ranked 12 and 15.

It is very good news that all the recruiting services have us ranked so high. Not because of the ranking itself, but because it means we will have the talent it takes to compete for a national championship.

The only rankings that matter are the final polls. So these silly recruiting rankings are nothing to celebrate, instead they are merely an encouraging sign of future celebrations.

halftime score of any game. The only rankings that matter are final polls, acc standing and state standing. I wanna win 'me all whether we have 2 star players of a bunch of 5 stars.

A team full of two star-players ain't never won much.

Tell that to Boise St. and Oregon before Rivals got wise.

Point taken, but with a team full of 4-stars and with our coaching staff not only will we put more players in the NFL but will definitely be in the Playoffs on a regular basis. GO TIGERS!!!!
