Not that it matters much, but is OP on his last legs

at DePaul? I see a lot of twitter action about him this week. Not sure that Purnell's move to that school was the best one for him. They have been flat and at the bottom since he came on board.

He is 42 - 77 in four seasons at DePaul

IMO Purnell's decision to leave for DePaul was based largely on the seven year $15 million contract they offered him. He was making a mere $1.6 million annually at Clemson.

The problem I have is the manner in which he left; without addressing his players, many of whom learned via text message and Twitter.

That job was his retirement package. He will coach one more season, get fired and receive a settlement package, and move back to the Clemson area I believe.

I wouldn't bank on him moving back to Clemson

If memory serves, he is originally from the Baltimore and Washington, DC area.

Barring a huge improvement, he's done at DePaul

The biggest reason he's not out already is because of the cost to buy him out. He's got one year left on his contract, so there's no point.

I completely agree about DePaul being his retirement package. He took Clemson as far as he felt he could and basically got bailed out with a fat contract at DePaul.
