I currently live in the state of SC, and with football season coming up, I am thinking about opening an account online for sports betting. I was wondering if any SC residents could provide me with some insight or recommendations.
Looking online, it looks like it is legal, but can anyone confirm?
Do you have a preferred site?

All of the online sites will share your information with other services. You'll end up getting your mailbox, inbox and voicemail filled with calls and junk related to gambling. It'll keep coming for years.

Eh, I already get a decent amount of that from recent trips to Vegas and Cherokee, so I think I can manage.
So I take it you've done this before? Do you have any site recommendations?

oddsmaker.com. I have not had any of those problems. I have not cashed out yet, but have had a couple of friends that have cashed out money from that site with no issues, other than it takes a few weeks for the check to come in. Another friend has an account at sportsbook.com and loves it. Don't know if he gets tons of emails from it, but he likes the way the site is set up.

Would you say those sites are better than Bovada? I assume they have plenty of betting options available, such as futures and season long over/under win totals?

No experience with Bovada. I would say Sportsbook has more betting options than Oddsmaker.

Do you know anything about 5dimes? Reading online they seem to be pretty reputable.

So I would not know anymore, but I do rememebr 5dimes.
For three straight years, I started football season with $300 bucks and would work it up to between 1000 and 2000 dollars, usually ending the season a few hundred better than where I started.
