Venables: The story of this defense will be told on the field

Brent Venables has heard about the hype and preseason expectations for his defense, but he told the media Tuesday that this unit won't achieve greatness in the media or on the message boards, it will have to earn it on the playing field. Full Story »

I'm so ready to see our defense take the field against Georgia. I can hardly wait for the season to start

NO-NAME DEFENSE

Jul 17, 2014, 10:08 AM

I love the hype/respect out defense is getting this year, and they deserve it...

Do you remember BV last year saying they were a "no-name" defense? Nobody knew them and they had to prove themselves on the field .... I like his style..

Looking forward to some massive, yet humble production from the Tigers !!

Go Tigers

Dude. "Beast-ley" was working his tail off shortly after the bowl game running stadium steps in death valley. He's going to be a load for everyone this year. Word is that he's added 10-20 lbs since last year. I'm sure that it's muscle. He looked jacked in the photos from the summer football camps. He will be causing havoc all year. The backup DEs will be as well b/c they're hungry. All of them are, and this will help our young secondary tremendously against most teams this year.

Sounds good.***

I live in Clemson & am out all the time...he's never there, not partying or living it up.
This kid's for real & he's eating & drinking football right now! You can take that to the bank ;)
Yeah, we're good

Coach Venables is a tremendous asset as our DC. He expects nothing but 110% out of the defense squad and no excuses. He works the daylights out of them and the end result is evident. Keep up the hard work and excellent recruiting and Clemson defense will shine over everyone in Division 1 football !

Man! We don't get to

hear Coach V speak much, but when we do it sends cold chills up my back. This man means business and the players respect him. This Defense will take no prisoners!

Spot the ball!!!!!!!
