What do we have to do to get Justin Martin???

Apr 23, 2014, 11:38 AM

From Xavier. Would start right away in KJ's place and make us a serious threat to go far in NCAA tourney. First option should be to go after a graduate transfer who can be eligible right away and basically step in where KJ was as a senior. This also wouldn't effect spots avaiable for the targets we are going after in the 2015 class. Martin averaged over double figures this past season and would be a great replacement to step into KJ's starting spot next season. He is from Indiana so maybe Brownell has a common relationship that would help us get in the door. A lot of people are saying Kentucky and Minnesota might be the two destinations he is looking at, but no guarantee he would be a starter at Lexington with the blue chippers coming in, and maybe the bad weather in Minnesota might be a turn off. Here is his Bio to send to Brownell and staff...

With the departure of KJ and Filer we have one spot open.

You're welcome in advance.

Instead of opting for draft so that helps things for Martin since they play same position.
