Ford & now to Coach Swinney! (Did I miss one..like Pell?)

All these rural Red-Neck Southern Boys knew what's good, pure, down-home, earthly & what garners long-time loyalty if you get the job done in a honest way..and as such Tigertown has been mighty good to them due to their success, sound ideas, loyalty and devotion.

They stay around (as Coach Howard & Coach Ford did) and plant roots here (not going back to Bama)..even when it's over as far as coaching is concerned, and become imbedded in the community since Clemson & its loyal & friendly Family have become part of them.

Saying..We & They had a contract at first..but then it grew much further than that piece of paper or the amount of wins. They became as Clemson as We were/are..and to that I say we have hit upon another fine Bama Boy in DabO Swinney who has brought his own deep South style, culture, simplicity to problem solving, fresh ideas, honesty & dedication to hard work with him so to continue the legacy started over 85 years ago with Frank Howard of Barlow Bend, Alabama.
