Unless we win at least two ACC tourney games it isn't gonna happen.

incorrect^^ we beat Pitt and we should be in the mid to upper 50's in rpi. Win one game in tourney and we should be a lock.

You must have missed the part that Pitt's RPI is up to 54...

If you think winning a home game against a team who's RPI is 54 will vault us up 10-15 spots, you must have no idea how the RPI works.

never know what will happen. Teams get upset like last night and help our RPI. I know how it works. We went down what, 5-6 spots by beating miami.. It's def. a possibility to go in the 50's by beating pitt and other things happening.
this is a crazy time of year for basketball and usually a lot of upsets so watch out

beating Miami took us from 72 to 68; we moved to 67 based

on results last night-- We will move into 50's with win over Pitt more than likely-- the more teams in front that lose, play bad teams this w/e or in tourney, the higher that move is. 1st round in tourney win gets us to low/mid 50's-- loss to UNC/Duke may keep us there(and 50/50 on bubble), win gets us high 40s and almost certain lock- based on other factors

maybe it will go to 58-59...but that's it

sorry for being a bit harsh.

We will still need to win 2 in the ACC Tournament though.

Who said it would !?!?!?

According to RPI Wizard, if Clemson beats Pitt on Saturday, Clemson will enter the ACCT with an RPI in the 57 to 59 range.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

I think even the most ardent know ...

... that without a win over Pitt, this has just been a pleasant diversion.

But with a win over Pitt, Clemson is back in the mid 50s ... still a long way from safe, but we can see the lights of home.

And, with a few other teams slipping that last weekend, we'd go into the tourney with our fate in our hands.

A heckuva lot better than this time last year ... or the year before.

I think he means USC in 2010-2011....

because I remember them being a very controversial inclusion that year. What ended up helping them that season was that they had a number of quality wins, which we only have 1 of so far.

We definitely need to beat Pitt and win 2 in the ACC Tournament (giving us another win vs Duke or UNC) to even get in the conversation.

It's just nice....

Having the opportunity to have this conversation. Who would have ever thunk it? Coach Brownell? I seriously doubt it!
