New Story: Boyd out to prove doubters and critics wrong

Boyd out to prove doubters and critics wrong

Tajh Boyd is out to prove his critics wrong, and he feels like he can do that with a strong performance at the NFL scouting combine. What does he say about his draft status? What does he say about returning to Clemson for his senior season? Full Story »

Sorry David

But I don't think there was a chance
Tajh could've been drafted in first round last year. I'm hopeful he will go in 3rd or 4th round. He's a deserving guy to say the least.

1st round wasn't realistic last year

Even if it was it probably would have set him up for failure.

Unfortunately, the Fla St game hurt him a lot. And the 4th qtr of the coot game..and even the last drive of the Orange bowl. I hope he does prove the critics wrong but until he does, they are spot on. He had a great record setting career at Clemson but let the pressure get to him in a few crucial games.

He would of been a late second at best last year. I don't know why he keeps saying first round.

David - Agree with you. Boyd cost himself $ & draft position

by coming back for senior year. As for T-Net, they will believe, by a large majority, Tajh did the right thing coming back to Clemson.

Tajh looked strong his jr year and finished stronger against LSU. He was 1st team Al-ACC two yrs straight. He performed on the field stronger than 1st QB selection EJ Manuel. Last year's QBs entering draft were much weaker. He was a hot commodity.

So question to David and anyone in the know ... why did he come back for his senior year? Who talked him into a bad financial decision? (Btw, agree with poster who stated he will be fine in long run. Instead of potentially being overvalued, he is now undervalued and set up to overperform for a long career.) Best to him!
