Does anyone know who we are primed to get this recruiting cycle? Doesn't look like we are in the running for any truly elite DE talent as we were last year.
From the articles listed below, it sounds as if Kentavious Street (6'4" 260) is no longer within our grasp. We have dropped from his interest and he has a cancelled a scheduled visit to Clemson.
Lorenzo Carter (6'5" 225) seems to have Georgia and Alabama as his front runners with his close friend Alvin Kamara already at Bama.
Most realistic shot seems to be with Andrew Williams (6'4" 240). He's got a lot of offers and we were pretty much the front runners early on with Notre Dame.
Lorenzo Featherstorm (6'8" 215) is another target but seems like a project that may not pay dividends until he is a junior or more likely senior. He's going to have to add a lot of size to his frame which may hinder his agility if he's got to put on another 30-50 lbs which is a stretch in itself.
Rick Leonard (6'7" 250) is also another target for the Tigers but I haven't heard much on him. Appears to have good size and seems to have us as his leader.
Other names mentioned are Corey Thomas (6'5" 275), Peyton Newell, Harold Landry (6'4" 230), and Jesse Aniebonam (6'4" 230).
Anyone I'm forgetting/haven't heard about? I know we have to be real selective with who we are taking seeing as how we'll probably only take 1...maybe 2 DEs.
