Seeing that Jeffries is going to be the MC reminds me of one of his best jokes.

Jeffries said that he was in his office one day when a freshman on the football team came in crying. Jeffries asked what was wrong. The freshman said that some upper classmen had cut off all his hair. Sure enough, the kid's head had been shaved and was bleeding in a couple of spots. Jeffries said, " I don't tolerate hazing on my teams, you tell me who did it, and I'll kick them off the team." The freshman said it was Harry Carson and Donnie Shell. Jeffries paused for a moment and then said, "Well, boy, you know you needed a haircut anyway."

i graduated from SCSU with Harry's nephew and Donnie's

daughter...Harry's nephew used to come to band practice with his NFC Pro Bowl jersey or his Giants Super Bowl jersey on and Donnie's daughter would come to practice with his Steelers jersey on....met both of them along with Coach Jeffries a bunch of times...complete class acts....Harry doesn't walk too well these days but Donnie looks like if he lost about 10 lbs. he'd still come up in run support and blow you up...great players and men.
