Because a few years ago they realized that they need to give their team a break the week before their rivalry games. Just one more way they were light years ahead of the ACC.

This is a tactic that the Gamecocks have used the past few years and it has worked well for them. This could also "bite" a team if they are looking for those last minute BCS points and they don't crush their opponent. All I know is the ##### might be a slight favorite going into this game but the Tigers will be up for the task and handle business. Tigers 38 ##### 27.
