Clemson legacy jumps in for 2014 class

Hammond Academy TE Cannon Smith (6-5 235), the son of former Clemson defensive lineman and current board of trustee member Bill Smith, committed Friday afternoon to Clemson. Smith made his commitment whilie on a visit to the school. Clemson was his lone offer. He also drew interest from USC, North Carolina, Towson and Appalachian State. Last season smith had 20 catches for 394 yards and fouir touchdowns. Smith is Clemson's 5th commitment for the 2014 class.
