I wish we had found a way to utilize Diehl a little more this year

If he was in the other team knew that it was going to be a run and that the ball would be going in the same direction he was going. We should of used him as a decoy/pass pro more often.

Why the ball wasn't in Chad's hands on all the 1 an 2 yard plays for a First down. It will forever be a mystery. I wonder if there problem between Chad and Chad from the beginning. It was probably the same first name syndrome.

If I remember correctly, Diehl was used as a decoy sometimes

I too wish Diehl had been better utilized, and I think the other teams probably keyed on him as marker, but that's pretty common, and an offense (like Stanford) can choose to ram it down your throat anyway or use the FB as a decoy. I seem to recall a few times when Diehl was used successfully used as a decoy-- especially early in the season in goal line situations.

I agree, especially with the hype he had to begin the season

but I still think he will be appealing to several teams in the NFL.

So many skill players, only one football. I do think we used his strength in blocking effectively this season though.
