So are they saying that Trevor Lawrence is a better QB than a DW4 when he committed to Clemson, or are they saying that he will be a better QB at Clemson than DW4 was. Should we expect another NC in the Trevor Lawrence career at Clemson!!!

He is much higher rated coming out of high school and has a higher ceiling. There's no reason why he can't be the best ever. Although, Watson will always be the most legendary because he was first.

We are improving every year in talent. DW had some average OL play for most of his time here. If TL brings Salyer, Hill and Carman, that should improve our OL instantly.
I'm not saying that he WILL surpass DW. I don't think it will be possible to surpass the legendary status of DW. But, it is possible that he has a more successful career than DW. Heisman? 1+ NCs? Better record? All possible. But gonna be tough.
What a time to be a Tiger. We are discussing whether "the best hs QB ever" will be better than the best player Clemson has ever had.

There are three qbs who stand out at Clemson. Steve Fuller revived the Clemson football program. Homer Jordan won the first national title in 1981. Watson elevated himself to legends status and won the second national title. Five years from now, Watsons name better be on the ring of honor. Will Lawrence live up to the billing? I know that he is about to break the records of a former great Georgia high school qb. His name ? DW4! I'm glad Lawrence is a Tiger.

Deshaun was about far more than football. Of course to us football fans that was 1st, but he was/is a great young man if great character, humility and work ethic

Definitely YES! I have seen him in person at his high school games and he is at an unreal level for a high school QB. We are very fortunate with the next several years.

No way! The three years to the NFL are calendar years. Redshirting 5 star players are a bad idea.

YES. He will be in a Tiger jersey at the next spring practice. He will also probably get to practice with us during bowl season this year.
