Except when it comes to RB's?
So annoying. Gurley would have ramped up our 'becoming Elite' time slot by a year or two. Now Zues is buying the next Herschel story. Ugh. Do they just put on Herschel's SEC storied documentary and let it play on a loop?
Also, the Kirbster's recruiting seems to have a Hughe Freeze element of control to it...
Just really wanted Zues I guess. Thought he would connect with Dat Boy...

Pro-style vs Spread. Only problem is...Zeus , like Sony Michele, is a spread back. He's going to have trouble between the tackles.

Each team's offensive scheme really showcases playmakers at the position, which is very attractive to recruits

This drives me crazy too, The RB can benefit from a spread offense more than anyone on the field. The run game is crucial to what we do. Running in a spread gives you nice lanes in the center of the field.
I don't want to take away from Wayne Gallman, he was a workhorse. Could you imagine how unstoppable our offense would have been with backs like Gurley, Chubb or Dalvin Cook? It would only make our WR's better. I think our team was harder to stop in 2015 because our running game was much more dominant.

I agree with the first part of your post, but watch next year, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if the thing we miss the most out of Watson, Williams, Leggett, Scott, and Gallman, is Wayne's blocking. I think his blocking did more for us than what a Dalvin Cook would have done....

the smoke of a "Hugh Freeze element" definitely exists for UGA recruiting. since Smart has taken over it's also a real stretch to say we "own UGA in all recruiting". their DB class last year was full of guys we would have taken. Isaiah Wilson is a huge get for their OL. Fromm and Eason were both top rated QBs. their recruiting can see a big uptick because they can keep promising all the things Richt did, except say "but now is when we finish the job"

In our offense, pass protection is as critical as great running and catching out of the backfield. Who would you recruit that is great at all three?
