We actually should have lost that game. We were extremely fortunate to pull it out in the end.

Well up 21-3 in the 4th and for it to come down to the last second was not good.
The D played lost the last 10 min but it made the stop for the win .

locker room at the end of the third. It was 21-3....then, ND went on a tear. Plus, we went super conservative. And guess what.........TIGERS WON! LOL! I have no doubt, had Chad Morris still been our OC, we would have lost that game. He would have kept tossing it all over the field, and one turnover would have lost it...........

available against us in the 1st half. He missed a guy wide open for a ~50 yard TD in the middle of the 2nd quarter and threw it up into double coverage instead. Still almost caught it for a TD, but it would've been a walk in had he seen the guy uncovered down the seam.
And as we saw later in the year, our defense pretty consistently tailed off in 4th quarters. I don't think we really had ideal depth last year.
We certainly had some chances to put that game away, but ND also left a lot on the field in the first 3.

15 guys on D most of the games. Boulware and Goodson played about 90% at LB. We wore down by the end of the year.........
