and the fact that tons of Clemson fans go to these away games, so they can jack up the prices. Not so much home fans, but because of visiting Clemson fans who pack an otherwise half-filled stadium.

The ND/Mich/OSU/Bama cause is the number of bandwagoners around the country. We're not to that point ---- yet.

lot more BC fans in Boston will go to the stadium if Clemson is coming to town. I think the same is true for Syracuse, Virginia and the like. But you have a point in that our fans go and jack up demand also. We are probably ahead of Bama because a lot of the road venues Bama visits have a premium price anyway because the school they are visiting sells out more.
