Saw that FlaSt is scheduling an opening game vs WVU

Jul 27, 2016, 12:16 PM

in Atlanta in 2020 (I think details will probably be announced soon)

This actually sounds like a good opportunity to play a quality opponent without having to enter into a home and home arrangement, perhaps an avenue the Tigers should consider since we're locked into a yearly game with, shall we say, a less than quality OOC opponent at the end of each season.

Clemson has done this in the past. I think an opening game in Atlanta or Charlotte with another Top 20 opponent is a good idea to keep a good number of home games while simultaneously increasing SOS

Can we make Tennessee happen? They're preseason top 20 every year no matter how good they are, and I'd like to put them in their place.

I agree Tennessee would be great to start the year.

But, there are so many teams that it would be fun to watch us play!

You are getting your wish with Okla. St.

in a few years. Strike Ohio St., LSU and Oklahoma off your bucket list. Don't worry about Michigan: that will happen making the playoffs the next few seasons.

I've been wrong two times, but this isn't one of them.

Due to our recent (successful) match ups. But, how fun would it be to play them perennially? They're always in the national conversation. It'd be nice to steal their spotlight (and, consequential ly, their recruits).

Well, we already have a yearly beat down of Oklahoma on the schedule. Don't think we need a second.

ensure that if we go undefeated we are making the playoff. With ND having a possible spot along with the champs from the four other power five conferences I believe an ACC champ with one loss will seldom make the cut.

Only ones gaining anything are the folks making money on them. The fans of each school miss a great away game opportunity one year and home game the next. The casual fan or college fball fan misses out on seeing the pageantry that makes watching the games so much fun. And half of them are called neutral when one team is clearly favored: Wisc at Lambeau, Houston at Reliant Stadium, etc...

I wish we'd get rid of these nonsense games all together.
