I firmly believe we sit very well with him actually. His sister already attends Clemson and he's been on campus a lot. He's more familiar with us than any other program. Tennessee in making a run at him; as is Bama but we hold an edge. I do not want to imply that we're a lock but I will say that I very much like our chances here.
If we could pick up Foster at the LB spot, Deon Jones at the CB slot (cautiously optimistic but not a huge reach), Devon Hunter at the S slot (we're on him VERY HARD), perhaps Tee Higgins and OrTre Smith at the WR slots, Trey Smith at the OT spot and either Jordan Williams, Zach Carter or Malik Herring (a UGA fav) then I'd say we're doing just fine. Then again, I'm sure we'll do just fine anyways but nonetheless I wouldn't mind seeing some of those folks commit. And Jamyest Williams....
And God forbid we offer DE Deonte Johnson and land him cause I think he'll be star one day...

I live not far from Crest High and the talk is us and UT. A teacher at the school said that the facilities at UT blew him away. I hope he gets a good picture of what we are building facility wise for the football team. I do think we land him in the end but UT is our big competition.

It's pretty interesting that there's no North Carolina schools in his top group.

Its also interesting that ESPN, Rivals and 247 have him ranked within five spots (66-71) on their overall national rankings and Scout has him some sixty spots away at 126.

I predict he commits to Clemson at the ALL IN COOKOUT . Too close to home to lose to the likes of UT, this isn't 2002 .

As a Clemson D-end, he would require additional help for the offense tackle on his side. Under Coach V. he would have most offense coaches game planning away from him on crucial downs.
