I know he was the #1 guy on our coaches' boards, by a mile. They really, really rated him and think he's the best back in the country this year.

Their boards apparently do not look like the recruiting services boards, by the way. People who gotten a look at them in the past have been shocked by how high some guys the services do not really rate are on the Clemson board...and how quick the staff is to draw a red line through guys deemed "not Clemson-type" players, even if that guy may be physically talented and have 50 offers. Their cooling on JJ Robinson, for instance, was fairly typical of that kind of strike-from-the-board stuff.

Whatever they're doing, it's working. The fact that I know how much the coaches genuinely coveted this guy, though, makes me think he's probably underrated, probably because he plays for a smaller school.
