I tell you this....when you see a response from the father like this, you'd better understand that, even if he had committed, he DOES NOT want it public. So, why on earth would you go on to say you still believe it's true? The answer is that you only give a crap about yourself and your own reputation. That is why the reputation stinks.

Yea, a cease and desist of using Clemson in the naming of their website is a must. They're a parody of a Clemson recruiting site run by a bunch of excitable fanboys. They've been a disgrace to the Clemson community but this blunder takes the cake.

I got blocked from their Twitter for calling them out. Didn't even have to use their name; I just said "certain Clemson sites." Course, I named them in a follow up tweet b/c it didn't matter by then.
That's their answer to everything. Screw up, backpedal, find some way to claim what they said was still right, and ban anyone who dares question them. That's why I quit their MB after Jack Leggett was fired.

That is how I see it. These kids go through all of the power recruiting and are anticipating how they are going to do something special when releasing the information to which ever school they plan to attend. This kind of liked popped their balloon or big announcement their way

They could have had something really special planned or something that would mean something priceless to an elderly family member.. Once they were called about by the father there should have been a huge retaliation and apology to the student and his father. Printed with as much hoopla as the erroneous information was put out. This statement from the OP is undeniably true even as the site publicizes "it will do nothing to harm the Clemson program".
I get it that "business is business" - actually, I personally don't believe in this credo - and that there is a fair amount of investment in sites such as these.
But you are what you do,
and not what you say.
The site brings it on itself....
