Hiring high school coaches? Opinions?

Feb 3, 2016, 9:35 PM

Should there be recruiting restrictions put in place when a high school coach makes the jump to college? Personally I think a university should lose the ability to recruit a school for 4 years after hiring anyone from said school. The reasons are obvious. It happenes every year with multiple universities and just doesn't seem right.

Thoughts? How does the ncaa not have something in place for this? Help me out here.

IDK, does seem a little shady, but at the same time, that would punish the rising SRs who want to attend the school where their old HS coach is now.

It's a yearly thing done by some colleges, mostly in the SEC. Should be some restrictions on this as it seems to be a trending thing.

He still has ties to NJ and will be the primary NJ recruiter, so probably. The real question is did they sacrifice LB player development for recruiting. I don't know if he's a good LB coach or not. I guess Michigan fans will find out.
