It would probably be better to do what we could to prevent crazies from getting their hands on these weapons...then we could avoid the whole ordeal.
I'm 100% for responsible gun ownership, but it's far too easy for people to legally acquire guns. And let's not confuse these shooters with criminals. They're clearly different groups of people.

We used to have a place in this state called Bull St. Some of you older Tnetters may remember it. It was in Columbia on Bull ST. and it housed the mentally ill people in our state. Every state had one.
Some time in the past, I'm guessing in the 80's it was decided we could save a lot of money if we closed the "funny farms" and put the crazies on medication and let them live with the rest of us.
HOW IS THAT WORKING OUT? In the past 30 years we have been so busy "being progressive" and changing things that worked pretty well to a point now where everyting seems broken. Thanks Washington.....

early reports had said shots were fired in 3 different campus locations. Who reports this stuff? How does it go from shots in 3 different areas to no shots.

not guns...
case in point, metal detectors in schools.
Back in my day, kids who got in enough trouble over time to want to use guns,
were drummed out of the system long before they got to that point...
now we coddle aberrant behavior...
