the state teams-UNCheat has a big game against FSU last night and only about 1000 people attend? Really?

Book it back in Greenville and see the numbers soar. Another dumb move by the Clown.

I've brought this up several times with people from NC. They in turn ask me why we can't fill up our basketball arena for most conference games. They are just a basketball state. The baseball tournament belongs in Greenville, just like the basketball tournament belongs in Greensboro.

the most people. GT in the ATL, Clemson 2 hours away, FSU 4 hours away.

I think Jacksonville owns the attendance records for the ACC tournament.

and most other ACC schools. At least there is SOME base population.

The problem with Durham hosting a baseball tourney is the down time. It's the reason I don't go.
Ever been to an all-week tourney?
You have 5 hours or so for the game and then you have 20 or so hours to kill before the next day's game. Unless you are a glutton and enjoy 15 straight hours of baseball --- I LOVE baseball but that's too much to handle every day for 4-5 days straighht.

What is there to do in Durham besides eat? Nothing.

In Atlanta, or Myrtle Beach, there is other entertainment to chase.
