The AD hires the head coach. The head coach has to be able to hire and keep folks he's comfortable working with. The AD judges the coach on his results, not on his assistants.


Of course the AD should step in if the head coach won't fire an assistant that does things against university policy....like getting arrested for peeing in the street.

D'Rad should have done that with Leggett last year. Get rid of the assistants that were not getting the job done.

DRad should have fired him last year but short of that he should have told Jack that the teams results are not up to standard. Its up to Jack to figure out what needed to change.

That being said, I never allowed anyone to micromanage me except when I was learning a craft or becoming familiar with a new job. In essence I agree with you.

This AD inherited RB. He did not hire him. Lots of ADS want their HC so this I s pretty common
