Is this fair or sort of a hit piece? J.J. Arcega-Whiteside

I agree that SCar had the bigger need for this kid. And I don't know all the ins and outs of in-state recruiting for either them or us. But I do think it is a shame when good talent ends up elsewhere, especially in the SEC. Thankfully this is not that kind of situation.

McClound, I have a feeling an offer would have been coming his way.

But we just didn't have a spot open.

The real question is, where was NC State, UNC, Duke, Tennessee, Vandy, G Tech?

"When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car."

"I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it."

But we offered Bell early, we never offered this guy.***

It's fair.

The kid was just not as loved locally as maybe he should have been. Stanford might have a great one , and Arcega-Whiteside has got to be happy where he ended up .

I know at least GT and Pitt offered. Furman, too.

No doubt he chose a good program and didn't necessarily want to stay so close to home.

Who knows

He fits the mold of the big physical receiver that Stanford loves, as opposed to someone that operates better in space like our offense.

We get Bell, Cain, etc., and he gets a Stanford degree.

I don't see any negatives on either side of this.
