The BC game is big for the Tigers

Jan 30, 2015, 12:41 AM

First of all we can't afford any more bad losses. With a overall losing record and 1-6 in the ACC, the Tigers at home should beat BC.
The Tigers need to string some wins together and a loss to BC will about have us playing for the NIT at best.

The BC game is the kind of game the Tigers tend to lose. It will be a lot closer than we will like.

1-6? In what? Golf? Tennis? Rugby?

Jan 30, 2015, 1:16 AM

Men's Bball is 4-4 in ACC play.

5-3 vs top 100 RPI. 0-2 vs top 10 ( not many teams wouldn't be).

0-1 vs 11 through 20.

5-0 vs 21-100.

Every game is big game. What's really hurting us right now is that bad loss to USCjr (who's what, .500 OVERALL, with 1 or 2 wins vs bottom feeding SEC foes?). Will be very difficult to prove our worth to the selection committee after that head-scratcher.

BC is 1-6 I know what the Tigers record is. The Rutgers loss and 2 big South teams are going to kill us more than the Coots.

1-6 but lost to Miami by 4, Cuse by 8, Pitt (and the refs) by 1, and the 'ville by 9.

They were defeated by all of these top 100 teams by an average of less than 6 points per game.

Beat Providence (17 in RPI).

This team is definitely no slouch. RPI may say otherwise, but the selection committee over-rules any unjust rankings ;)

But yes, we do have our work cut out for us. Mic more so than we did vs usc jr.

Like I said it would be a bad loss we beat Pitt and the Cuse. The U got smoked by GT which was the Jackets first ACC win. If we got any chance left to go to the Dance a loss to BC will kill it.

Actually, Rutgers' RPI is a bit higher than the Capons...***

This game will show whether the team has turned the corner on becoming more consistent. They'll need to shoot well to win it.
