IPTAY Membership Question
Oct 1, 2014, 9:53 PM
|
|
My dad has had an IPTAY membership for years and bought the whole family tickets (for which we reimbursed him). He hasn't gone to games the last couple of years and would like me to take it over.
My question: Will they let him transfer his membership (including points and seats) to me? If not, since we own a company together will they let him transfer everything to the company?
I'd like to take it over but don't want to lose what we already have?

I think the answer is no, but I do seem to remember that one can pass the IPTAY stuff 1 time. It is worth checking into. I know it has been done with a spouse, but not sure about a business or a child. My guess is no, but it's worth a try. (Especially now)

I tried the same thing and got the BIG NO. My dad had IPTAY point for the beginning. They changed the rule a few years back about transferring accounts.

It's right there in the beginning of the "I AM DEATH VALLEY" video. If they won't do that, then that's false advertising. Someone should sue.

They don't, my Dad had 40 yard line tickets for 40 years and they wouldn't do let me have them or any part of his IPTAY account.

There used to be Life memberships that worked that way

but they don't offer it anymore.... cause it was a STEAL.
Unless your Father is one of those that got the life membership, you can't transfer.
Cred: I work closely with IPTAY.

"Lose what we already have"? Sounds like

YOU don't have anything...
Kinda like you start working for a biz that your dad works for and expecting to get credit for his seniority.
My advice: start giving now at as high a level as you can and keep getting tix from your dad as long as you can. Hopefully you can build up some points before you need them.
