Get better, Joe.

That surgery is laproscopic, and is therefore not as bad as it used to be.

I had an appendectomy 2 years ago...

That ain't no joke. It hurts!! I was sore for a long time afterward. He'll be out for several weeks at least.

Not what we needed on the OL right now. Hope you feel better soon, Joe.

I had my appendix removed 18 years ago and appendicitis is..

Oct 2, 2014, 6:35 AM [ in reply to Get better, Joe. ]

...the worst pain I've ever felt. My recovery lasted 4-6 weeks but I had the open procedure since my appendix was about to burst and they couldn't remove it laparoscopically. There was a pro baseball player (I can't remember his name) that had the laparoscopic appendectomy the same day that I had mine and he was back in the lineup a week later. That's baseball though.

+1 for the p-38. It's been a while.

here for sure!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Aw, man. Really rough time for that to happen

Oct 1, 2014, 8:01 PM

Hope he gets better soon and is able to come back out and play well. We really need him at tackle as we're very thin there.

Also wonder if he'll have to get back into shape, as he was already a little underweight.

Had mine removed 2 weeks ago tomorrow and it took me about a week to recover, but I'm not allowed to lift anything over 20 lbs because of the risk of a hernia. Lots of soreness from the gas they pump into you, interestingly there was a lot of pain in my shoulder which I read is normal.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The shoulder pain is the worst part.***

Oct 2, 2014, 6:47 AM

How do you keep Gamecocks out of your yard?
• Put up goal posts
What does a Gamecock grad call a Clemson Tiger grad in 2 years?
• Boss

Keep your chin up Joe.

This, too, will pass. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
