do you remember English prof.holt?always enjoyed his courses.he use to visit the tin cans back in the 60's occaisionally,trying to recruit students for his church.Episcopal I believe.

clergy on the halls and in student organization offices during those days. Most were well-received, cordially.

The visits from Bob Jones University students would rile a few folks from time-to-time, especially when the fire and damnation threats were tossed loosely. There was something about a group of young guys drinking beer, smoking cigarettes and gambling that didn't sit too well for those visitors. lol

We had plaza preachers in the early 80s

Dedicated group of guys would take turns; one would be
out there almost everyday it wasn't raining. Occasionally
someone would stop and ask questions or try to start a
debate. Some liked them; some thought it was annoying.
Don't remember what church they were from. Thought it was
great they got people talking. Wonder if there is still
something like that.
