Hate to say it but she's a great coach and great person. I'm mad that we didn't get to her first.
This is not a reflection on Coach Smith, whom I like quite a lot and I think will take us great places. Rather it's a reflection of several years ago when Staley was hired and our WBB program was mired in awfulness.

She is a perfect example of the fact that athletes sign to play for a certain coach and not the school. No reason for those girls to be going there given some of the other powerhouse programs they could have attended.

Actually, in 2013-14 the Gamecock WBB team averaged over 6000 in home game attendance, and with the #2 national recruiting class coming in that will likely be on the rise.

The truth aboit this story is that no matter how hard I try I don't end up caring. Women's basketball ? I couldn't tell ya one single thing about that subject , and anyone who could is either wrapped up in it because of employment or has a sister/daughter/neice playing in it.
No dunking and waaaaaaaay too slow.

Understand you don't like it, but 6000+ people per game (with a high game of @ 12,000) is not just people wrapped up in it "because of employment or has a sister/daughter/neice playing in it."
They are not just playing in front of friends and relatives, which was the original false statement to which I responded.
