On the "Will KJ McDaniels go pro?" debate

Nov 22, 2013, 12:26 PM

A lot of his draft stock will depend on how he performs in ACC play. With the additions of Syracuse, Pitt, and Notre Dame to the conference, he'll be matched up with some of the best competition in the country every week. How he performs against future NBA stars, like CJ Fair, Jabari Parker or Jerian Grant, will give scouters a better idea of how good KJ really is. It's no doubt that his summer at the Kevin Durant skills academy paid off.

I think KJ has the tools to go to the league this season, however as talented as this year's NBA draft class is, it would be a gamble on his part. He also could benefit from one more year to tone his skills. I also would love to see a team that feature Hall, Grantham, KJ, Blossomgame and Djambo down low next season ;)

I think he will look pretty much the same when it comes to blocking shots and playing above the rim.

He was very lazy on offense in the first half, then brownell lit into him. We saw what happened.

I dont know that he will but next year if no one leaves we will be 2 over on scholarships so someone is going somewhere. I've wondered about Harrison doing his misssion trip and you wonder would Coleman leave due to lack of pt?

I have no insider infor but unless some medical issue crops up (and we've had a couple of those the last two years) something has to give.

out of the 3 you listed, coleman departing would be my preference.

I am personally going out on a limb with McDaniels. I think he has a monster year and may have options. I have never said that he will leave, just that I think he could be ready by the end of this year.

He is the most complete player we have had since buckner, and is still getting better.
