for some tiger fans, but i feel like he will be around longer than a lot of leaders we have had. His work ethic on and off the field is very strong and he strives for perfection. Hats off to the academic ranking!

Who in the world isn't behind Dabo? I truly think we have a top-10 coach, if not top-5. He walked into a mess and has had us on the national stage since. ACC title game, bowl win, beatdown of the coots and a game on the Plains in which we were robbed.
Call me crazy, but I think next year we will be a NC contender and will be fighting off tons of other schools to keep him.
Have never seen a more infectious coach, and he brings more hype and fire than any college coach in America.

I was implying they were the same person, so I said,

Poor attempt at a joke, I guess!

I 100% HOPE dabo is the one for the job.
We hired dabo to "supposedly" get better RESULTS than the previous coach. IMO better results will be consistently better than 7-5/8-4, winning the ACC, and continue domination of USC. If he does not exceed ALL (i repeat...ALL) of the above mentioned items then he has not done the job we "supposedly" hired him to do.......I saw physical toughness in the auburn game, HOWEVER i saw us lose the game the same way "same ole Clemson" loses
love my opinion.......hate my opinion.......either way ya gotta deal with it.

receiver, linebacker, left tackle, and possibly defensive line could all be question marks. The lack of players in the 2008 class is going to bite us next year.

We have players in those positions...

...they will need to step up. We have done a GREAT job of recruiting, as evidenced by Spiller leaving and now look at the RB position. Loved Spiller, but we're more dangerous now at RB than ever.
Can Ellington return kicks too???

MORE dangerous than with Davis and Spiller? I can't agree with that. Wait until the end of the season. More objective then.

And, I don't see the left tackle on the roster that is anywhere close to Hairston in talent.

Buster, JK Jay, Jake N. were there more? All of these kids would have most likely been huge contributors

I just can't see any other school but Bama being a threat

to pull Dabo away.
If we get to the point that Dabo has been so successful that he is in high demand, I just can't imagine a scenario where we can't match an offer, and if we can match it, I can't see Dabo leaving Clemson, with the possible exception of Alabama. (this is all HIGHLY hypothetical, obviously)
I've always been, and will continue to be, a Bowden "apologist". I liked the guy and think he did a ton of good for Clemson. However, Bowden always struck me as a guy in football coaching business. Dabo strikes me more as a football coach, not a business man who just happens to be in this business. As such, I see him doing what he can to provide for his family, but I don't think he's looking to optimize his personal revenue or anything like that.
Hopefully we'll get a chance to test my theory really soon.

I think that if Dabo gets to that point at Clemson his loyalty will keep him here, Because if he does He will have built it his way.

When coaches get shown the door midseason, I'd say things are a mess. I see your point, but I think it was messy.

in 2008 if something hadn't gone our way. The Monday after Wake Forest there was a wrecking ball bearing down on Clemson football. We were out of mojo and had no real leadership. IMO Dabo turned an impending disaster into respectability, and a tough, determined football team with plenty of talent and more headed our way.
