will start using the updated NFL logo that the league debuted last season.

Wonder why he didn't produce like that while he was here?

Nov 7, 2010, 9:16 PM

Who was the WR coach again?

Not too shabby

"Ford has six career touchdowns of 50 yards or more, third-most in school history. He had an outstanding season in terms of receiving; he is second on the team with 55 receptions for 710 yards and three touchdowns. He finished with a strong performance against Nebraska with five catches for a career-high 112 yards, including a 46-yard touchdown catch. His performance in the bowl game gave him #11 final ACC ranking in all-purpose running, #5 in receiving yards and #6 in receptions. He added 93 yards on 17 carries in the 2008 season. He was offensive player-of-the-game against N.C. State and #21 Wake Forest. Ford has 2,865 career all-purpose yards on 204 touches, an average of 14 yards per touch, had 32 career receptions entering last season, but had 55 in 2008. 15th in Tiger history in career all-purpose yards, 20th in career receptions (87), he went over 1,000 career receiving yards and is 21st in Clemson history with 1207. Ford has 950 career kickoff return yards and has a career 9.3-yard average on 40 carries. He has played 34 career games with 13 starts, including eight in 2008. Has 10 career touchdown catches and two other touchdowns on kick returns, giving him 12 total."

Most of those all purpose yards are kick returns

Nov 7, 2010, 9:32 PM

so averaging around 14 isn't exactly spectacular. Ford did produce in a couple of games in his senior season but for the most part he was severely under-utilized. Not a knock on him at all, just leads me to question his coaching.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You are crazy if you think Ford didn't produce

Nov 7, 2010, 9:40 PM

but for a few games his senior season.

He was our go to receiver at 5'10''. What more could you ask for?

He was our ONLY receiver. When Spence was here, he was certainly under utilized as Aaron Kelly and Grisham were the guys.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Nowhere near his potential.

Nov 7, 2010, 9:41 PM

And again, this is not a knock on him AT ALL. It's not his fault he wasn't utilized.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's just ignorant...

can people find a way to turn a positive article that has zero to do with the 2010 clemson team into a bash session on the current coaches.

Ford was awesome last year where were you?

Nov 7, 2010, 10:31 PM

The guy transformed himself from a track guy into a number one wide receiver who caught everything his way last year despite the fact he was the only wide reciever. STOP THE HATE! Bad example if you are trying to say the coaches stink.

Great to see Ford kicking butt. Loved the fan group hug.***
