Tiger offense smashes way to win over Maryland
Right tackle Landon Walker said Saturday's 31-7 win over Maryland was a bit of payback for the last couple of seasons. Walker also said that Ralph Friedgen's gameplan of hitting Clemson in the mouth in order to gain a win won't work anymore. Full Story » |

Good win and I'm very happy to see the kick return teams score 7, the defense score 7, and to see the team go plus 3 on turnover margin with 3 picks. But I agree that headline is a bit misleading since it was not a dominating offensive performance.

On the other hand Clemson didn't bother running up the score

In the 4th quarter, Clemson substituted a lot of 2nd, 3rd, & 4th string guys. On Clemson's closing drive, Clemson was within field goal range and might have been able to punch in another TD if they wanted to. But Dabo chose not to run up the score and the stats. Good for him for displaying good sportsmanship.

down and running thru the guy. He scored, but lost all leverage he had when he left his feet. Lucky someone wasn't there to smack him at that point. Nothing smashing about that run.
