According to Tigernet, the schedule is pathetic and the AD is cheating the fans.

The HOME schedule is what the AD is offering as a product; away games are not part of the season ticket package. Having 2 cupcakes at HOME is insulting, and I will not be a customer. If the N.TX and Presby games were offered as 2-for-1, maybe. But as is, the season ticket package is not worth the price the AD is charging; in my opinion. We are coddling the players and coaches with these games. I don't like it, so I won't be supporting it.

Almost every team in the country has 2 cupcakes a year.

Why is that insulting? What should be insulting is more than 2. We've got 2 good non conference games and with 1 locked in as a road game every other year, the other will always have to be the opposite to balance the home schedule! Look at the ACC and SEC teams, we're pretty comparable:
BC: Weber St, Kent St Duke: Elon, Army FSU: Samford Ga Tech: SC State, Mid Tenn St Maryland: Morgan St, FIU Miami: Florida A&M UNC: William & Mary, ECU NC ST: Western Carolina Uva: Richmond, VMI, Eastern Mich Va Tech: James Madison, ECU, Central Michigan Wake: Presbyterian
Florida: Miami Oh, App St Uga: La Lafayette, Idaho St Kentucky: Western Kentucky, Akron, Charleston Southern USC: So Miss, Furman, Troy Tenn: Akron, UAB Vandy: Eastern Michigan Bama: San Jose St, Ga State Arkansas: Tenn Tch, ULM, UTEP Auburn: Arkansas St, ULM, Chattanooga LSU: McNeese St, ULM Miss St: Memphis, Alcorn St Ole Miss: Jacksonville St, La Lafayette

Most of the top teams have more. Why run the risk when you already have top billing?

Thank you for giving up your tickets to someone else who loves and supports the Tigers regardless of ridiculous complaints about home schedules. I will be there. I don't know how many more football seasons I have left on this earth, but health and financial status willing, I will be there for every one. This marks 32 consecutive years of attendance at home games and I have even restricted my employment geography over the years to be within a drive of CU on football Saturdays.
If you have to talk about the price not being worth the package, then you just don't get it. See ya and don't come looking for my extra tickets on game day.

I would love to have one of those EXTRA tickets to the Miami, GT, and usuc games. Those 3 I intend to be at without ticket in hand. But I will be there and in the stadium. If you have extra for those 3, i will be glad to take them off your hands. For I'm also in my later years, and my happiest days are when I'm in that stadium on Saturdays. And i will be happy at as many games as I can afford to be at.

Actually, I do get it. I get how Clemson was embarassed by Alabama in 2008. I was at the game and saw the difference. Some Clemson fans will support a weak OOC schedule and coddle the team and coaches into thinking they are on par with elite programs. Then, when a strong opponent comes along and whips Clemson, those same fans are shocked at the outcome. I want Clemson to compete with any program. Beating the snot out of a FCS program doesn't help in achieving that goal. No FCS program should ever be on Clemson's schedule, in my opinion. There are plenty of FBS (1-A) programs to choose from. Schedule them.

Beating the snot out of a FCS team actually does help.

Losing to one is worse, though. Look what happened to Michigan, and the embarrassment that normnally tags a losing FBS school. Besides, it's important to put the upstarts back in their place. They don't have to schedule us either.
Alabama didn't beat us in 08 because we played Furman the year before, they beat us because TB had coached up a soft team against them.
BTW, we play Auburn on the road this year. Cupcake Central.

Granted we need the cupcakes to knock the rust off and get eveyones confidence up. But later in the season when bowl time rolls around, there is always the, they played a softer/tougher schedule therefore they will go to this bowl. I can agree playing some lower level FBS teams could look better for us the later part of the season instead of FCS but bet your A$$ whoever they play I will be there to see it. ESPECIALLY THE SEASON OPENER!!!! There is ABSOLUTLY NO REASON to miss the season opener even if we were playing Greenville high school. If you don't want to go shoot me a line and I will gladly take those tickets off your hands!
GO TIGERS!!!

One of my favorite memories from Death Valley was the game against The Citadel in 1978. While mowing the lawn after the game, I thought back on what I had seen from Perry Tuttle and the other freshmen and thought we could be looking at a national championship in 1981.
Yes, I'd like Clemson to play Georgia and Auburn every year, but it's worth watching the Tigers play anyone anywhere any time.

We beat 2 of those teams last year and played the ACC champion from the other division that beat another. I am comfortable we will be ready and we will give then all a heck of a game AND we will win some of these!

Mark it down!!! This team will end up somewhere between 5 - 7 and 7 - 5. You can't replace the men we lost and think otherwise. It's going to be a long year at the valley.
