If he was to join the SEC, rest assure it would'nt be with the coots. It would be with a Bama, Flroida type SEC team. And surely not an SEC coat tail rider of the SEC !!!

Didn't Rod Mitchell play both basketball and football for the Tigers one year? I think he was a TE or DE in football and a F/C in basketball, but I don't remember the year.

Yes Rod Mitchell, from Cheraw, played both. Rod was a Prop 48 player in 1986. At 6'9", he played DE and Special Teams (at 6'9" he was on the kick-off team but also ran like a 4.6 forty) in 1987 and walked on to the basketball team (I think 1988) under Cliff Ellis. He later gave up football and I think played another year of basketball at CU before leaving to play his SR year at another school. I think it was Minnesota.

nope...I heard when he was there that it may have been his best sport in HS, but word was he didn't have time to play while in college.

Why when listing all 2 sport players is Elmo Lamb from early 60s always left out. He started in FB and bb. As a matter of fact he was drafted by a mlb team.
