The Letter of Intent is a binding agreement between the student-athlete and the school in which the school agrees to provide the student-athlete financial aid in exchange for the prospect's agreement to attend the institution.
The Athletic Aid Agreement specifically outlines how much financial aid is to be given and what is and is not covered (i.e., partial v. full scholarship).

PG probably our biggest "area of need" in this class IMO.

When Stitt went down with injury last season, we were in real trouble at the point.
The fact that we recruited, but missed on several PG prospects indicates that OP recognized the need.
Perhaps he aimed too high. At any rate, we just filled a real need, even if this kid does not have the press clippings of a Shannon Scott.

A ho-hum signing at best

You can dress it up any way you want to. But I think everyone was hoping for a little bigger splash than stealing a player off of Wright State's recruiting list. I guess he feels he must have a back up point guard. The kid may be a nice player, but the folks Clemson has to beat sure were not recruiting him. Kind of reminds me of the Bill Harder transfer years ago. Nice kid, fundamentally sound player, but not the kind of player that helps you win in the ACC.

Exactly WHO ios still out there to "splash" with?

At this stage, we're lucky to get anybody.
We needed a PG in this class.
OP failed to attract one.
Now we have one and it remains to be seen if he is the "kind of kid who can help win the ACC".
BTW ... Obviously, in the last 50+ years we have NEVER recruited the type of kid who can help uys win the ACC ...

Well then save the scholly. Stit is back, so is Young. As I said, maybe the recruited him as a life long backup. You better hope so.

Our classes are going to be unbalanced enough as it is.

We need a PG in THIS class.
By the time Stitt graduates it will be too late to groom a true freshman to be an effective back-up for Young.
We disagree on this. No problem.
